I am Blessed!

I received my pre-approval from Canadian Immigration while I was away and it wasn’t supposed to be here until April! I count this a miracle! I now have to send my big stack of dossier paperwork to be translated and then ship it to Bulgaria. Once it is in Bulgaria it will be submitted and then the Council of International adoption shall refer Wyatt officially to me. From that time I will have 2 months to go and meet Wyatt. I will have the privilege of spending 5 days visiting with him and then will return home before going to bring him home forever 4-6 months later. I continue to see God’s hand on this process and for that I am so thankful. Wyatt I am getting closer to coming to meet you!

It is time for an update!!

  • My agreements between my agencies and the Bulgarian Government have been notorized and will be off to be translated now.
  • I have paid my first fee of $2500 to my Bulgarian agency!
  • Today I recieved my pre-approval in the mail from Immigration (it wasn't suppose to be here until at least April) and so I now have all the paperwork I needed to collect for my dossier.
  • Soon my dossier will be off for translation and then shipped to Bulgaria!!!

This all means that I am getting closer to being invited to go and meet Wyatt! I will get to spent 5 days visiting him in a little village east of Sofia. I am one happy person tonight. This also means that I get to start raising the remaining funds to get me to the $35,000 mark. I am so thankful to God for how He is leading me and blessing the process of Wyatt's adoption. Wyatt is one spoiled and loved guy already.

"V"

YAY, new photo of V, isn't he handsome?   Updates on his progress coming soon.
V is delayed in all areas of his development. However, he has shown marked improvements in recent months. He can sit unassisted and pull up to his knees in an attempt to stand. He shows a general interest in toys and will hold them, moving them from hand to hand. He makes spontaneous sounds and basic syllables. He watches the other children and has begun to smile when interacted with by staff and other children. He eats thick consistency foods from a spoon, but still requires someone to help feed him. He sucks his thumb when he sleeps

Pieces of Gold

Yesterday, I received more pictures of Wyatt that were just taken in January. I have pictures of Wyatt from 2011, 2013 and now 2014. I have now seen pictures of the institution where he lives and pictures of other people that live there with him. It looks clean and has some colour but it is still an institution with little stimulation and love.

I am hoping to hire a lady to spend time with Wyatt each week day so that he can have one-on-one attention and support to start reaching the next milestones in his life. As well, she will make sure that he is eating. It is more to know that he has someone looking out for him until his momma comes to get him. I will know in the coming weeks if this is possible.
